Role: HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5am starts with possible nights out 2-3 times a week
Pay: £16.07 per hour (basic), £24.11 per hour (after 48 hours), £25.00 per night out
Extrastaff Ltd are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Duties as HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Carrying out RDC deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
- Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are correctly secured
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Essential Skills:
- · Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- · Minimum of 24 months’ experience driving Category CE vehicles
- · No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
- · Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- · Good level of spoken and written English
- · Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
- · Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
