Hours: Monday - Friday, Full Time

Pay: £33,000 per year

Extrastaff are currently recruiting for an Assistant Branch Manager to join a busy roofing merchant in the Colchester, CO2 area.

Assistant Branch Manager Duties:

• Answer incoming calls and deal with customer enquiries in a professional manner
• Speak with walk-in customers and assist them with their requirements
• Take sales and orders over the phone when call-ins come through
• Order stock and ensure the branch has the required products available
• Assist with the day-to-day running of the branch
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and wider team
• Assist yard operatives with loading and unloading when the branch gets busy
• Operate a Counterbalance forklift when required
• Cover yard duties when a yard operative is absent
• Step up and take responsibility for running the branch when the Branch Manager is away
• Ensure customers receive a professional and friendly service at all times

Requirements for an Assistant Branch Manager:

• A valid counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience within a branch, merchant, warehouse, sales or customer service environment is desirable
• Confident speaking to customers both face-to-face and over the phone
• Good computer skills and the ability to use office systems
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to work well as part of a small team
• Comfortable working in both an office and yard environment
• Flexible and willing to get involved with different areas of the branch when required
• A positive and ‘can-do’ attitude
• Reliable and able to take responsibility when the Branch Manager is away
