Role: HGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Wellingborough (NN8)

Pay rates: 

• Monday to Friday: £19.01 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday: £21.00 per hour
• Overtime after 40 hours: £28.52 per hour
• Additional premium of £2.64 p/h for all hours worked between 18:00-06:00

Hours: Start times available between 02:00-15:00

At Extrastaff Corby, we’re recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to support our busy and expanding client. You will be completing caged deliveries of ambient, chilled, and frozen goods across the region. Averaging around 7 drops per day, with occasional double runs and no London drops.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

• Caged deliveries of ambient, chilled, and frozen products
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness
• Following planned routes and delivery schedules
• Handling cages safely using tail lifts
• Completing double runs where required
• Maintaining excellent communication with transport teams and customers

What We’re Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E)) licence
• Minimum 2 years of HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Good knowledge of UK road networks
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
