Shift Pattern as a Project Manager : 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Wigston, Leicestershire
Salary as a Project Manager : £50,000-£55,000 (PA)
Extrastaff have an exciting opportunity with their client as a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for managing bespoke joinery and manufacturing projects from quotation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The role involves coordinating design, procurement, manufacture, installation and client communication while maintaining commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from quotation and design through manufacture, delivery and installation, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are achieved.- Coordinate and maintain all project documentation within the company ERP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.- Manage client relationships throughout the project, including attending site meetings, conducting site surveys and providing regular project updates.- Liaise with internal design, production and purchasing teams to ensure drawings, materials and manufacturing requirements are accurate and delivered on schedule.- Prepare project documentation including Health & Safety information, O&M manuals, CNC drawings and cutting lists where required.- Monitor project costs, variations and design hours, ensuring any additional costs are approved by the client before proceeding.- Review manufacturing methods and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce project costs.- Produce quotations for project variations and support the estimating function during periods of high workload.- Lead post-project reviews, analysing project profitability and identifying lessons learned to improve future performance.- Promote effective communication across departments to ensure successful project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.Essential requirements as a Project Manager:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar role within bespoke joinery, fit-out, furniture manufacturing or a related construction/manufacturing environment.- Strong understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing processes and project coordination.- Experience managing project budgets, costs, variations and client relationships.- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP or project management systems.Desirable requirements as a Project Manager:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Joinery or a related discipline.- Experience using AutoCAD or working closely with CAD design teams.- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and preparation of project documentation.- PRINCE2, APM, SMSTS or other recognised Project Management qualification.- Experience within luxury interiors, bespoke furniture or specialist joinery manufacturing.Apply with us today and find out more about this exclusive opportunity as a Production manager!
