Location: Corby NN17

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am to 2pm

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Extrastaff are seeking an experienced Clothing Hand Cutter to join a family run business manufacturing high end luxury garments in a busy factory.  The successful candidate will need to have previous Hand cutting experience with shearing scissors. Strong attention to detail is required and experience working with technical fabrics and high-quality garments.

This is a temp to perm position after 12 weeks

Clothing Hand Cutter Duties:

• Hand-cut garment components with precision using cutting tools such as scissors, rotary cutters, and hand knives.
• Inspect fabrics before cutting to identify defects, flaws, or inconsistencies and report any issues
• Lay out luxury fabrics, including delicate, patterned, and high-value materials, ensuring correct grain lines, pattern matching, and fabric direction.
• Label, bundle, and organise cut components for transfer to sewing and production departments
• Match checks, stripes, prints, and fabric patterns accurately according to garment specifications.
