Location: Corby NN17

Hours: 08:00-16:30 - Monday to Friday

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Extrastaff are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a family run business manufacturing premium outdoor wear.  The successful candidate will have excellent sewing skills and experience using industrial sewing machines.  Strong attention to detail is required and experience working with technical fabrics and high-quality garments.

After completion of 12 weeks, a performance and pay review will take place with a potential pay increase of between £0.50 and £2.00 depending on experience.

Sewing Machinist Duties:

• Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
• Construct high-quality garments
• Work with specialist fabrics
• Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all tools and materials are stored properly
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications
• Follow technical specifications, patterns and manufacturing instructions
• Inspect completed work to ensure consistency, durability and appearance meet company requirements
• Experience required
