Weekend HGV Class 2 Driver

£17.04 - £25.56 per hour
At Extrastaff Corby, we’re recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to support a busy and expanding client delivering ambient, chilled, and frozen goods across the region. We're looking for drivers with weekend availability, who can assist our client during their busiest days of the week - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There is also the opportunity of extra shifts through the week depending on your availability and preference. Saturdays and Sundays are paid at an enhanced rate, with an extra premium for any hours worked between 6pm and 6am.
Pay Rates
- Saturday & Sunday: £18.96 per hour
- Monday to Friday: £17.04 per hour
- Overtime after 40 hours: £25.56 per hour
- Additional night premium for all hours worked between 18:00-06:00 - £2.56 per hour

Weekend HGV Class 2 Driver Duties:
As a Weekend HGV Class 2 Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of caged goods using temperature-controlled vehicles.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering ambient, chilled, and frozen products
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules
- Handling cages safely using tail lifts
- Completing double runs where required
- Maintaining excellent communication with transport teams and customers
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Good knowledge of UK road networks
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
