Role: Quality Technician

Location: Corby - NN17

Hours: 4on4off Rotating 12 hour shifts 0600-1800/1800-0600

Pay: £13.00

Extrastaff are currently seeking a reliable Quality Technician to join an ever-growing family run business in Corby who manufacture packaging.  You will be working in a factory environment doing all aspects of Quality Control ensuring all processes are followed and striving for continuous improvement.

Previous experience working in Quality Control would be an advantage including experience in lamination, slitting and print tests.

This is a 12-week temp to perm position for the right candidate.

Quality Technician Duties:

• Perform routine inspections and tests on incoming materials and finished goods
• Ensure that flexible packaging materials meet required quality standards, including seal strength, barrier properties, print quality, ink gsm
• Conduct visual and mechanical testing using tools such as micrometers, calipers, seal testers, COF testers and tensile testers
• Record and analyse test data, maintain quality records and prepare reports
• Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment
• Ensure the QC area is tidy and kept in a professional manner following the highest BRCGS standards
• Attend training provided
