Role: Warehouse Team Leader / First Line Manager

Location: Armthorpe, Doncaster

Hours: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm – rotating working mostly Monday to Friday with a Tuesday to Saturday shift when required. Potential for Nights 10pm to 6am

Pay: £18.07 per hour or £35247 p/a + shift premium and overtime

Extrastaff Ltd are recruiting for Warehouse Team Leaders / First Line Managers to join a dynamic, award-winning logistics business.

Reporting to an Operations Manager, you will lead by example, effectively manage all colleagues on the shift to ensure all customer expectations are achieved.

Experience working in fast paced office environment is essential as well as excellent knowledge of MS Excel and good communication skills (both written and verbal). Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems will be an advantage.

Duties as a Warehouse Team Leader / First Line Manager:

• Lead and manage the warehousing operation for the shift ensuring the effective and accurate goods processing.
• Lead and engage a team to drive excellent customer service.
• Effective management of performance, conduct, absence, engagement and training and development of team members, holding people accountable to agreed standards.
• Monitor KPI's, identify and communicate associated actions and highlight areas for improvement.
• Provide a shift summary and handover record with any exceptions detailed and actioned.

Essential criteria for a Warehouse Team Leader / First Line Manager role:

• Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry in the management role.
• Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) knowledge.
• Team player and great communicator with a strong work ethic that leads by example.
