Role: Ocean Transport Planner

Location: Cheadle

Pay: £14.74 per hour, x1.5 over 37.5 hours

Shifts: Full time role, Monday to Friday - 08:00-16:00

We are looking for Transport Planner with ocean experience for immediate start to be based in Cheadle.

The Ocean Transport Planner role is based within a warehouse environment. You will be responsible for planning and routing of up to 60 vehicles a day within a subcontractor network, obtaining transport quotations from the subcontracting carrier base, problem solving, liaising with the drivers to solver their queries and data quality tasks.

Ocean Transport Planner duties:

• Planning up to 60 vehicles a day with our subcontractor network.
• Obtaining transport quote from subcontracting carrier base.
• Problem solving.
• Help and solve drivers queries. 
• General and data quality tasks.

Qualifications and skills required as an Ocean Transport Planner:

• Previous Transport planning experience 2+years (experience in movements from the EU/Ocean  to the UK is beneficial)
• Good knowledge of common Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel
• Clear and accurate record keeping
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels
