HGV Class 1 Driver

Shifts:  4on / 4 off Days and Nights (no rotation)

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour plus weekend bonus

Location: Symmerty Park, Darlington

Extrastaff are looking for a number of HGV Class 1 Driver's, to prestigious client in Darlington.

Duties of an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Completing restaurant deliveries in a timely manner.
• Temperature checks to be carried out using probe (ambient, chilled and frozen products to be delivered)
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time.
• Inspect vehicles at the start and end of your shift, ensuring that they are maintained to company standards.
• Record any vehicle defects and report them immediately to the Transport Team.

Requirements of an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• You must hold a valid Class 1 licence for min 2 years.
• You must hold a DQC (Driver Qualification Card), DTC (digital tachograph card) and CPC accreditation.
• Have no more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's).
• Have a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Strong H&S awareness.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers.
