Role: HGV Class 2 Dray Driver

Location: West Thurrock, RM20

Hours: 04:30 start time

Pay: £17.15 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HGV Class 2 Dray Driver to join one of our extremely well-established clients in west Thurrock

HGV Class 2 Dray Driver Duties: 

• Delivery of keg and cased goods to multiple customers across the South East (Kent, Chelmsford, Brighton, Eastbourne and London)
• Use and maintain delivery equipment
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies
• Operate delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
• Use manual handling equipment provided in accordance with Manual Handling procedures
• Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition (fuel, oil, etc)
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional presentation of the vehicle at all times.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, providing excellent service and acting as a brand ambassador.
• Follow pre-planned route accurately
• Maintain communication with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route or schedule
• Inform management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time 

Requirements for a HGV Class 2 Dray Driver:

• LGV 2 Licence
• Driver CPC and valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and delivery procedures.
• Experience in dray work
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-service focused.
