HGV Class 2 Driver

Role: HGV Class 2 Driver 

Location: Orpington 

Hours: 6am start - average 8 to 10 hour shift 

Pay: £16.50 to £17 per hour - overtime after 8 hours at £24.75 to £25.50 per hour 

Extrastaff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver, working for the largest independent flooring wholesaler in the Southern & South-Eastern regions of England.

• Overtime after 8 hours at £24.75 to £25.50 per hour 

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties:

• Multi-drop deliveries of flooring & carpets 
• Manual handling included 
• Use of scanning devices & completion of paperwork
• Use of pump truck 
• Use of ratchet straps to secure load 
• Carrying out vehicle check on a daily basis 
• Ad hoc work - sickness cover, holiday cover, and busy periods 

Requirements for HGV Class 2 Driver:

• HGV Class 2 licence (C category) - max 6 points on licence 
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Good customer service skills
• Reliability
• Good communication skills
• Minimum 3 months experience
