Drivers Mate

Role: Drivers Mate. 

Location: Trumpington. 

Pay: £12.45. 

Hours: 6am - until Finish or 10:30am - until Finish 

Extrastaff are currently recruiting Drivers Mate on behalf of a client based in Trumpington, Cambridge as they enter their busy period.

The main duties for the Drivers Mate role are:

• Helping the driver to load and unload the vehicle throughout the shift.
• Lifting of goods using sack's which will always be two-man lifts.
• Using a company phone to contact customers, contact centres and the transport office.
• Using a hand-held terminal to record the status of deliveries.
• Helping the driver with directions.
• Managing goods and waste in the back of the vehicle.
• Dealing with the public on a daily basis.
• Shift Patterns AM - 6am - finish PM 10:30am - finish.

Due to the nature of the work, the role is very customer facing and heavy lifting is involved.
