Role: School Transport Passenger Assistant

Location: London Borough of Ealing/ Westminster 

Hours: Part-time, Term-time only (Typically mornings & afternoons)

Salary: £12.21 - £13.85

Start Date: Immediate

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people? We are currently seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible School Transport Passenger Assistant to accompany children on their daily journey to and from school. This is a rewarding role ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values routine, and wants to make a positive impact in their community.

Requirements of School Transport Passenger Assistant:

• Enhanced DBS is a must (Dated within the last 2 years)
• PATS – Passenger Assistant Training certificate (valid and up to date)
• First Aid Training (valid and up to date)
• Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs
• A caring and patient nature
• Good communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities of School Transport Passenger Assistant:

• Accompanying children and young people with varying needs on school transport (morning and afternoon runs)
• Ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers at all times
• Assisting with boarding and disembarking the vehicle safely
• Maintaining appropriate behaviour and managing any minor incidents during the journey
• Communicating effectively with parents, guardians, school staff, and drivers
• Following health and safety procedures, safeguarding protocols, and emergency procedures
• Providing support for children with special educational needs or disabilities (where applicable)
