Drivers Mate

Role: Drivers Mate    

Location: Dartford 

Operating Monday to Saturday 

Hours: 6am to 5pm - £12.45 per hour

            10am to 9pm - £12.82 per hour

Overtime after 41 hours at £18.67 per hour

Extrastaff are currently recruiting for Drivers Mates, working for the John Lewis Partnership, one of the UK's largest retail brands. 

Full training provided – induction + three days training 

Duties for Drivers Mates:

• Working as part of a two-man crew carrying out home deliveries & installations of furniture & white goods (including televisions, washing machines, fridge freezers, beds, sofa’s, etc.)
• Manual handling included – you will be required to deliver to the customer’s room of choice
• Use of scanning devices & completion of paperwork
• Communicating via mobile directly with the customer regarding delivery times

Requirements for Drivers Mates:

• Good customer service skills
• Flexibility regarding shifts times & days available
• Good telephone manner
• Reliability
• Good communication skills
• Must have previous drivers mate experience
