Role: Expedite Customer Service Representative
Location: Castle Donington East Midlands Gateway, Castle
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
Pay: £14.24 per hour, after 37.5 hours £21.36 per hour
The Expedite Customer Service Representative role is based within a warehouse environment, you will be responsible for liaising with haulers and drivers, communicating with internal operations to ensure efficient resolution of queries, updating of delivery lead times as well as maintaining accurate records, filing, using internal and external systems.
Main duties of a Expedite Customer Service Representative
- Manage and prioritize expedited shipment requests from customers.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers.
- Investigate and resolve transportation or delivery issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of expedited orders, shipping documents, and communications.
- Assist in optimizing logistics workflows for improved response time and service quality.
- Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
Expedite Customer Service Representative qualifications and skills:
- Previous administration experience in a warehouse environment
- Warehouse operations knowledge
- Knowledge of shipping modes ( LTL, FTL, air, express) and carrier network
- Good knowledge TMS (Transportation Management Systems)common Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of logistics or transport environments an advantage
